Explore the different ways that Ropes Courses can be used safely with a view to using each element creatively and with a developmental process in mind.

Ensure that delegates are happy and comfortable with learning made thus far. Clear up any questions raised overnight.

Theory - Comfort Zones, Stages of Adventure

How do we feel when we are comfortable / nervous / frightened. What can we learn from this?

Use of High Level Ropes Courses

Is this physically/emotionally safe for the group that I am working with? Is it physically appropriate? Medicals.

Practical Play

Discuss Challenge and Support needs. Split up and SAFELY scare yourself on the HLR course - remember feelings for use later.

Why?

A concrete example of how to use Development Training in the Outdoors.

A tool for increasing self-awareness and emotional intelligence in individuals in
    the staff team.

Will create a shared identity and common working vision within the staff team.

A fun experience to look back upon and use in the future.

 

Can this be developed?

Yes. Can be reduced to a one-day course, or extended to five days. The more that you extend it, the greater the intensity of learning.

 

Where?

This course is most effective in your centre or learning venue, as delegates are most comfortable with the activities used.
